The journey has been a long and arduous one, no doubt. Since the inception of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in UNIMAS in 1995 and receiving her fist batch of 29 medical students in 1997, the idea to establish a teaching hospital of UNIMAS, has never faded. The project has been led by many overseers, many of whom have passed on to another ventures. We must thank them for making the footholds and the scaffolds to latch on, as we ascend the hill to reach the top to materialise this dream that many a times seemed impossible.
